We venture into the heart of Southern Arizona, where saguaro cacti stand beneath endless blue skies and the spirit of the Old West still thrives. From the historic streets of Tombstone to the natural wonders of Tucson and the Sonoran Desert, this tour showcases the very best of the Southwest. Along the way, we’ll enjoy two exceptional lodging experiences—the elegance of Tucson’s historic Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort and three unforgettable nights at the award-winning White Stallion Ranch, where authentic Western hospitality, outstanding dining, entertaining ranch activities, and spectacular desert scenery combine to create the highlight of our adventure.

Day 1: Monday, November 1, 2027
Our Southwestern adventure begins as we fly into Phoenix and travel to our overnight hotel at the Drury Inn and Suites Chandler. As we gather with fellow travelers and anticipate the experiences ahead, we’ll begin our journey into a region rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. (D)

Day 2: Tuesday, November 2, 2027
This morning, we’ll travel to the charming town of Florence for a delightful visit to Windmill Winery. Set among beautifully landscaped grounds, this unique destination offers a relaxing introduction to Arizona hospitality. We’ll enjoy a tram tour of the property, lunch accompanied by live music, and a wine tasting before continuing our journey south.
Later, we’ll arrive at the magnificent Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort, nestled in the foothills of Tucson’s Santa Catalina Mountains. Originally established in the 1920s as an exclusive boarding school for the daughters of America’s most prominent families, Hacienda del Sol later became a guest ranch that welcomed Hollywood celebrities and distinguished guests from around the world. Today, the resort is one of Arizona’s most celebrated destinations, known for its beautiful desert gardens, historic charm, luxurious accommodations, and spectacular mountain views.
This evening, you’ll have time to relax and explore the property before enjoying dinner on your own at the resort. (B, L)
Day 3: Wednesday, November 3, 2027
While at Hacienda del Sol, each guest will receive a $100 credit to use while on property for breakfast, dinner or at the gift shop.
Today we step back into the days of cowboys, outlaws, and frontier legends as we visit Tombstone, Arizona’s most famous Western town. We’ll enjoy lunch at historic Big Nose Kate’s Saloon and have time to stroll the wooden sidewalks, browse unique shops, and soak in the atmosphere before witnessing an exciting gunfight reenactment that brings the Old West vividly to life.
This afternoon, we’ll continue to colorful Bisbee, once one of the richest mining communities in the American West. Our visit includes the fascinating Copper Queen Mine Tour, where we’ll descend into the underground world that helped shape Arizona’s history.
Tonight, we’ll return to Hacienda del Sol for free time and dinner on your own. Maybe you will choose to dine at The Grill, one of Tucson’s finest restaurants, which is located at the Resort. (B, L)

Day 4: Thursday, November 4, 2027
After breakfast, we’ll experience the stunning beauty of Sabino Canyon aboard a narrated tram tour. Located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, the canyon is renowned for its dramatic mountain scenery, desert wildlife, and magnificent saguaro cacti that tower above the landscape.
We’ll also visit Mission San Xavier del Bac, often called the “White Dove of the Desert.” Founded in the late 1600s, this beautifully preserved Spanish Colonial mission is one of the finest historic churches in the United States and remains an active place of worship today.
Then comes the highlight of our journey as we arrive at the legendary White Stallion Ranch. Nestled beside Saguaro National Park and surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine Sonoran Desert, White Stallion Ranch offers an authentic Western experience unlike any other.
After check-in and lunch, we’ll settle into our home for the next three nights and begin enjoying the warm hospitality that has made this ranch famous around the world. (B, L, D)

Day 5: Friday, November 5, 2027
Each day of our stay, we’ll enjoy the exceptional hospitality that has made White Stallion Ranch one of America’s premier dude ranches. Included are hearty breakfasts, satisfying lunches, afternoon appetizers, and outstanding ranch dinners prepared with Southwestern flair. We may dine inside the welcoming dining room or outside in the picturesque courtyard, where horses, riders, and the daily rhythm of ranch life create an authentic Western atmosphere.
The ranch also features a fully stocked bar and an impressive wine selection available for purchase, making it easy to unwind after a day of adventure. Maybe you’ll want to try one of White Stallion Ranch’s famous Prickly Pear Margaritas, a guest favorite that’s best enjoyed while watching the Arizona sun set over the saguaro-studded Sonoran Desert.
Nestled beside Saguaro National Park, White Stallion Ranch is surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the American Southwest. Towering saguaro cacti and rugged mountain ranges create a setting that feels uniquely Arizona.
While horseback riding is a favorite part of the ranch experience, there is much more to enjoy. Guests may choose from horse demonstrations, educational presentations, guided hiking opportunities, recreational activities, and fascinating programs that explore the history, wildlife, and ecology of the Sonoran Desert.
The ranch’s popular Eco Jeep Adventure offers an up-close look at the desert’s remarkable beauty, introducing us to the plants, animals, and landscapes that make this region unlike any other in the world.
Whether we’re exploring the desert, learning about ranch life, watching skilled horsemanship demonstrations, or simply relaxing and taking in the spectacular scenery, White Stallion Ranch offers an authentic Western experience that is both enriching and unforgettable. (B, L, D)

Day 6: Saturday, November 6, 2027
Another wonderful day awaits at White Stallion Ranch. Whether we choose to participate in ranch activities, enjoy the beautiful grounds, take part in educational presentations, or simply relax and admire the spectacular scenery, the day is ours to enjoy at our own pace.
One of the greatest pleasures of White Stallion Ranch is the opportunity to truly disconnect from the everyday and embrace the slower pace of ranch life. From watching horses return from the trails to enjoying conversations with fellow travelers and taking in unforgettable desert sunsets, every moment contributes to a truly memorable experience.
This evening, we’ll gather for another enjoyable night of ranch hospitality and entertainment beneath Arizona’s famous star-filled skies. (B, L, D)

Day 7: Sunday, November 7, 2027
After a leisurely morning and lunch at White Stallion Ranch, we’ll bid farewell to our desert retreat and continue to the acclaimed Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Widely considered one of Arizona’s premier attractions, this remarkable facility combines a zoo, botanical garden, aquarium, and natural history museum to showcase the incredible diversity of the Sonoran Desert. The museum provides a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the plants, animals, and landscapes that have surrounded us throughout our journey.
Later, we’ll travel to the Phoenix area for our final overnight stay. This evening, we’ll gather for a wonderful farewell dinner at Aunt Chilada’s, sharing memories of our Southwestern adventure and celebrating the friendships formed along the way. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Monday, November 8, 2027
