Day 1
We begin our journey today, meeting new friends and seeing old friends once again. This afternoon, we arrive at our hotel for the night, the Drury Inn and Suites, Dublin, Ohio. Enjoy their Kick-Back Dinner tonight. (D)
Day 2
Continuing our journey today, we arrive in Niagara Falls, Ontario, this afternoon, checking into the Marriott on the Falls. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)
Day 3
Following our breakfast, we depart for a tour of the Niagara area to include Table Rock, Queen Victoria Park, visit to the Whirlpool with the cable car ride, Floral Clock, and a ride on the Hornblower Boat up close to the Falls! Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)
Day 4
Another fun day of sightseeing awaits us, to include the Welland Shipping Canal, where you can see ocean going vessels travel through the locks. Then, we make a delicious visit to Chocolate FX, where you can see chocolate being “panned” and enjoy some sweet treats. On to historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you will have time on the quaint main street for lunch on your own and to browse the unique boutiques. No visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake would be complete without a visit to a local winery to sample some of the local vintages. Dinner is included. (B, D)
Day 5
This morning, we see Niagara’s newest attraction, The Power Plant, for a guided tour, followed by a walk through the tunnel where we can see the Canadian and American Falls from the viewing platform. From the most towering turbine to the tiniest detail, fascinating stories lie hidden within the historic Niagara Parks Power Station. Descend 180 feet in a glass-paneled elevator and explore the 2,200-foot long tunnel, leading to an observation deck at the river’s edge. Explore the first major power plant on the Canadian side of the Niagara River with immersive exhibits, restored artifacts, interactive storytelling, and amazing photo ops! Enjoy free time this afternoon for activities of your choice and possibly last-minute souvenirs for the folks back home! Our farewell dinner is a special treat in the Revolving Dining Room of the Skylon Tower. (B, D)
Day 6
We travel homeward today, stopping to overnight at Carlisle Inn, Walnut Creek, Ohio. Dinner is included tonight. (B, D)
Day 7
We continue our journey homeward today, arriving back to Southern Illinois in the late afternoon. (B)
