Today we step back in time with a visit to Goldfield Ghost Town, an authentic old mining town with wooden sidewalks, historic buildings and interesting shopping. Next, we’re off to Tortilla Flat, Arizona’s last surviving stagecoach stop. After a hearty, delicious lunch, browse the shops of this quirky frontier town. In the afternoon, we board the Dolly Steamboat for a relaxing Cruise on Canyon Lake. As we glide through the dramatic desert canyons, we keep an eye out for bighorn sheep, eagles and other wildlife that call this rugged landscape home. Dinner is on your own at the resort tonight. Then, we travel to the historic mining town of Jerome for free time to explore. Next, we have a light charcuterie lunch and a glass of champagne included when we board the Verde Canyon Railroad for a four-hour afternoon ride through Arizona’s breathtaking Verde Canyon. From the comfort of our railcar, we take in the red rock cliffs, green valleys and the occasional soaring eagle.
