Lost River cave boat Tour and HISTORIC RAILPARK MUSEUM with DINNER at Patti’s 1880’s restaurant
Today, we travel to Bowling Green, Kentucky, to board the Lost River Cave Boat and take a journey into history on Kentucky’s only underground boat tour. Folklore and facts come together to provide unforgettable stories of Lost River Cave as an ancient native hunting ground, a Civil War campground for both the Union and Confederacy, a hideout for the infamous outlaw Jesse James, and a swinging underground 1930’s nightclub. After a stop for lunch on your own, we have a guided tour at The Historic RailPark Train Museum and L&N Depot. The Museum and Depot bring alive the magic and adventure of railroading. This historic national landmark allows us to see, touch, hear and explore important railroad artifacts of our region’s heritage. Then, we top off our day with a delicious dinner at Patti’s 1880’s Restaurant in Grand Rivers, Kentucky, before returning home this evening.
