In Asheville, North Carolina
During Candlelight Christmas Evenings, Biltmore House greets you with the soft glow of luminaries and twinkling lights on a towering Norway spruce on the Front Lawn. Inside, candlelight, firelight, and holiday lights reflect on thousands of ornaments decorating dozens of Christmas trees throughout the grand rooms. Live performances of traditional Christmas music add to your evening visit.
Day 1:
We travel to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, today, stopping at the beautiful Inn at Christmas Place tonight. This evening for dinner we visit The Titanic Museum. Everyone knows the name Titanic! Everyone knows Titanic struck an iceberg! And everyone knows Titanic was lost! She sat at the bottom of the ocean for 75 years before they found her in 1985. We’ll enjoy a first class three-course dinner in the elegant setting of the secret dining room aboard the The Titanic Museum. Then, we tour the ship with expert crew members ready to tell stories about the lives and experiences of the passengers that set sail in 1912, as we view artifacts, exhibits, and photographs only shown at the museum. Day 2:
Following a delicious breakfast this morning, we depart for Asheville, N.C., home of the Biltmore Estate! Upon arrival, we begin our visit with a guided Premium Property Tour. With a Biltmore Estate Ambassador, we will learn about the unique history of the land, structures and former residents.
Lunch is included before we return to the Biltmore Estate to visit Antler Hill Village for a little shopping and free wine tasting at Biltmore Winery, the nation’s most visited winery. George Vanderbilt infused an appreciation for fine wines into the Biltmore experience, making it part of his legacy for gracious living. Founded on a love of the land and a passion for entertaining, the Vanderbilt legacy lives on in shades of red, white, and rosé.
Next, we check in to the beautiful Inn on Biltmore Estate. Gracious hospitality, fine dining, and the level of service for which the Vanderbilts were renowned—all this and more is yours with a stay at The Inn on Biltmore Estate®. After settling in, we will enjoy dinner tonight at The Stables, renovated horse stalls transformed from the original 19th century Biltmore stable. The Stables offers southern comfort food and friendly ambiance that makes this a favorite stop before visiting Biltmore House.
Following dinner, enjoy the Biltmore House Candlelight Christmas Evening Audio-Guided Tour at your leisure. Upon entering the Biltmore House, you will experience the holidays wreathed with the wonder of this magnificent house. The celebration presents Christmas on a grand scale with dozens of trees decorated by their talented staff, accented with miles of ribbon, garlands and lights. Return to Biltmore Inn at your leisure using the included Biltmore Transportation. (B, L, D)
