Followed by Cruise (7 days)

2 Scenic Cruising Days: Hubbard Glacier — Glacier Bay National Park

Day 1:
Today we will motorcoach to St. Louis, where we will board our plane for Fairbanks, Alaska’s “Golden Heart City”. We will be staying at the Princess Fairbanks Lodge for the next two nights.

 

Day 2:
A full day in Fairbanks gives us time to get a feel for the unique culture and history of the region. We’ll take a cruise on an authentic Sternwheeler Riverboat, the Discovery, down the Chena River, then enjoy a Gold Dredge 8 tour with the chance to pan for our own gold. We return to Princess Fairbanks Lodge. (L)

 

Day 3:
We enjoy a scenic motorcoach journey to Denali National Park and the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. Once there, check out the deck and vistas of the Nenana River Canyon. You may want to stop by the tour desk to plan an activity such as rafting or hiking for tomorrow.

 

Day 4:
We have a full day to get out into one of America’s best national parks. Today we take a Natural History Tour into the Park which serves as a wonderful introduction to the animals, plants and geological features found in Denali. The remainder of the day is free to explore the resort or to take an optional tour.

 

Day 5:  
We enjoy a scenic rail journey through some of the best wilderness in the Great Land on the exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail service today. Once in Whittier, we will step from the train onto the Majestic Princess for the beginning of an unforgettable cruise.

 

Day 6:
Hubbard Glacier (Scenic Cruising)

Day 7:
Glacier Bay National Park (Scenic Cruising)  

Day 8:
Icy Strait Point

Day 9:
Juneau, Alaska

Day 10:
Ketchikan, Alaska      

Day 11:
Sea Day

Vancouver, British Columbia
