Day 5
This morning embark on a cruise to Nantucket Island, fondly known as “The Gray Lady.” The island was once the whaling capitol of the world in the 1800’s. Now a popular vacationing spot for the wealthy, Nantucket’s charm is associated with its cobblestone main street, narrow roads, simple Quaker-style homes and handsome houses dating back to the whaling days of the early 19th century. Enjoy free time to explore, enjoy lunch on your own and meander through the many charming shops be-fore we enjoy a guided tour around this beautiful island. Later this afternoon, reboard the ferry for our cruise back to the mainland. This evening, enjoy another delicious dinner at one of the Cape’s favorite dining spots! (B, D)

A grand masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture, The Mount Washington Hotel in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, was a two-year labor of love for 250 master crafts-men. Conceived by industrialist Joseph Stickney, this National Historic Landmark opened in 1902 and immediately became a favorite summer haunt for poets, presidents and princes.
