DAY 1 – Friday, July 5:  Montréal, Quebec 
Today we fly to Montréal where our tour will take us on an in-depth exploration. Say “bonjour” to the second largest French-speaking city in the world, Montréal.

DAY 2 – Saturday, July 6: Montréal 
This morning, it’s your choice! Decide how you would like to explore Montréal: on a walking tour – or – on a panoramic coach tour. If you choose the walking tour, you’ll join a local guide who will transport you back in time as you explore the streets of Old Montréal. If you choose the coach tour, highlights include Jacques Cartier Square, McGill University and St. Joseph’s Oratory, concluding high atop Mount Royal, the jewel of Mount Royal Park, to soak in the spectacular view. The afternoon is yours. Sit in a sidewalk café, visit a museum or browse some of the city’s many famous shops. This evening, experience a taste of Montréal during dinner at a local restaurant in the old Port. (B, D)

DAY 3 – Sunday, July 7: Montréal, Quebec City
Journey to historic Quebec City, a city with a romantic ambiance reminiscent of Paris. Experience the beauty and history of both Old and New Quebec on a fascinating sightseeing tour highlighting the provincial Parliament and the St. Louis Arch/Gateway. Your day concludes at the city’s famous Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. Spend two nights in this grand castle-like hotel majestically overlooking the old city. This evening, enjoy dinner at a charming restaurant. (B, D)

DAY 4 – Monday, July 8: Quebec City 
Begin with breakfast at a local sugar shack in the Quebec countryside. Learn about maple syrup making and enjoy sampling delicious traditional foods made with this local product. Before leaving, try a favorite regional treat –maple taffy made in the snow! Return to Quebec City and spend the remainder of your day at leisure wandering the quaint streets and exploring this UNESCO World Heritage site. Hop on the “funicular” for a scenic ride between lower and upper Old Quebec. (B)

DAY 5 – Tuesday, July 9: Quebec City La Malbaie, Charlevoix Region
This morning we head to the Albert Gilles Copper Museum to learn about the art of copper. Enjoy a demonstration on the detailed work involved in each creation. Then set off for the breathtaking Charlevoix region, stopping en route at a cheese farm. Learn how cheddar cheese is made in the artisan tradition before sampling it yourself. Later, we make our way to the luxurious Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, your home for two nights. (B, D)

DAY 6 – Wed., July 10: Charlevoix Region
Today you’ll take to the water and embark on a whale-watching expedition for a unique encounter with these fascinating and majestic creatures. Take in the beauty of the natural surroundings in the heart of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park. A naturalist guide will introduce you to the many species of marine mammals that reside in the St. Lawrence River. The remainder of the day is at leisure to take advantage of your resort’s many amenities, such as the spa, golfing and hiking. Or, simply relax and soak up the views! (B)

DAY 7 – Thursday, July 11: La Malbaie Charlevoix Region—Montebello
Our drive this morning takes us to Montmorency Falls where you will board a cable car that takes you up-close. Stand in awe as the river plunges 272 feel off the Canadian Shield, approximately 100 feet higher than Niagara Falls. Admire the stunning views from the many lookout points before heading back by cable car or by foot. Later, arrive at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello and luxuriate in the rustic elegance of the world’s largest log cabin, set in a spectacular location surrounded by nature. (B)

DAY 8 – Friday, July 12: Montebello
Enjoy a full day at leisure to independently explore on your own and enjoy your resort’s many amenities. Your Tour Manager will be on hand to offer suggestions. Perhaps you’ll enjoy an optional day trip to Ottawa for a scenic cruise on the Rideau Canal and free time in the ByWard Market. Later this evening we gather to say “au revoir” to our fellow travelers at a special farewell dinner. (B, D)

DAY 9 – Saturday, July 13: Montebello – Home
Your tour comes to a close today, leaving you with many pleasant memories of your outstanding journey. (B)
